八重蔵さんの綾織

緯糸より縦経糸の本数が多く、織り目がしっかり詰まっているのがギャバジンです。耐久性は平織が勝りますが、伸縮性がありしわになりにくいというメリットがあります。インドネシア産の無農薬綿を使用し、糊で糸を固めずゆっくりと織っています。高密度でありながらしなやかで柔らかい風合いが特徴です。

Mr. Yaezo's Twill

 
Of twill, Mr. Yaezo produces gabadine, which is a tight fabric with many more warp than weft yarns. 
It is known for its stretch and wrinkle-resistance, despite its less durability compared to that of plain weave.
Organic cotton from Indonesia is used and woven slowly, without being glued.
It is characterized with its dense yet flexible, soft texture.
